Children’s Bootie - Playful Western
This bootie for Jellypop Kids was built on one of their best‑selling bottoms and an upper pattern that consistently performed. While the brand often created direct take‑downs from women’s styles, I wanted this version to feel more playful and truly girlie. I designed a heart laser cut belt with blush glitter as the underlay, and paired it with shimmer PU belting to add dimension. To bring in texture, I added an emboss to the counter piece for extra visual interest. The result is a fun, feminine nod to Western styling with an elevated, youthful twist.
This style quickly became a bestseller and even opened a new slot category for several retailers across multiple seasons. It performed so well that we extended it into toddlers, and the following fall I reimagined the concept with a butterfly cut‑out version that also became a top seller.
