This sandal for Jellypop Kids was built on an existing molded insole construction, and the goal was to create a fresh, trend‑right upper that tapped into the season’s mermaid inspiration. I designed an ankle strap packed with the details the Jellypop Kids customer loves - beading, sequins, braiding, and rhinestones. I partnered with the materials team in China to source the plastic rhinestone chain, pearl bead chains, and to develop a new pearl‑pink color bead chain that gives the right amount of shimmer while staying within cost constraints. We also collaborated to create a pastel multi‑braid that added dimension and softness to the strap package.

The result was a playful, mermaid‑inspired sandal that felt both magical and wearable. It had a strong selling season, with the blush color performing just as well as the white, reinforcing its appeal across the Jellypop Kids customer base.
