This design for Chinese Laundry was one of my favorite projects because it let me play with print‑mixing in a really intentional, eye‑catching way. The goal was to create a fun, impulse‑driven style for the girl who loves a standout moment. That season, denim and distressed canvas were key materials, and print-mixing was dominating every spring trend forecast. I pulled inspiration from one of my favorite British brands and developed a vintage‑inspired ankle strap that nods to classic pin‑up silhouettes while still feeling modern. By mixing distressed canvas with ditsy florals, the shoe blends traditional, contemporary, and just plain cute in a way that feels fresh and wearable. The stacked tapered heel adds just the right amount of sexiness, completing a look that’s playful, feminine, and designed to turn heads.
