Dress Heel Sandal - Crafted Bohemian
Designed for Chinese Laundry, this project reimagined a best‑selling dress platform by elevating the upper design while staying true to the core customer who loves height and drama. With bohemian trends leading the season, I shifted the aesthetic toward a more earthy, artisanal direction using rich veg‑tanned leathers in warm, saturated tones.
Drawing inspiration from traditional huarache weaving, I developed a woven, multi‑strap upper that transforms the classic flat sandal language into a bold, sexy heel. To complete the look, I updated the wrapped heel and platform into a real wood construction finished in a deep walnut stain, giving the silhouette a vintage, handcrafted feel that aligns perfectly with the Crafted Bohemian trend.
